More than half the world’s children – 1.2 billion – live in countries affected by widespread poverty, conflict and discrimination against girls, threatening their chance for a childhood. These children are excluded from learning, and denied basics like healthcare and even food. These children are stripped of their innocence and robbed of the their childhood – and the future they deserve.

Panel of Independent International Experts Finds “Reasonable Grounds” for Crimes against Humanity Committed in Venezuela

In their report and executive summary presented today, a panel of independent international experts designated by the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) found that reasonable grounds exist to believe that crimes against humanity have been committed in Venezuela dating back to at least February 12, 2014.

New OECD Framework seeks to drive “urgent, concerted effort” for inclusive growth

29/05/2018 - “Urgent and concerted effort” is needed from governments to drive more inclusive, sustainable economic growth that benefits everyone in society, according to a new OECD report. Opportunities For All: OECD Framework for Policy Action on Inclusive Growth says that despite some countries making progress in tackling inequalities, more efforts are needed.

Women of Worth: Recognizing Those Who Make a Beautiful Difference in Their Communities

Each year L'Oréal Paris and Points of Light recognize and celebrate Women of Worth who make a beautiful difference in their communities. Ten honorees each receive a $10,000 grant to support their most cherished cause, and an online vote determines one honoree who will receive an additional $25,000 grant.
