Social Development needs also experts and practitioners able to directly interact and support the service users. The important contributions played by the professionals directly engaging with those at the receiving ends of social interventions is not well highlighted and properly analyzed. This space offers a platform to discuss about the key role of social work in the development sector. Social Worker are the key pillar of any welfare society. Nepal and any emerging countries are still trying to lay the foundations of the welfare society and we need new expertise on social work. Anyone interested to develop the science of social work, from an academic or more field work perspective is invited to contribute in this forum.

At the workshop on "Policies Regarding Disabled and Elderly Access and Accommodation in Public Places and Public Venues within Nepal's Laws",  some voluntary commitments were made to achieve tangible results within 6 months from the date of workshop by the participants.  This video shows some of the commitments that were made.  Some of these commitments can be implemented in individual work environments.  For all to see and volunteer to do.
