It was an old cemetery ,I suppose, where five truths were buried. While roaming around the silent surrounding I wondered whether they were buried after death or were buried alive due to some blasphemy.
Showering fresh flowers on their tomb, I sat in contemplation and suddenly an apple fell from one of the trees in the graveyard. No, I was not Newton so no calculation could be expected on my part .yet a serious observation was at stake.
I kept questioning what these truths last word would have been? May be like Buddha they would have said’ strive diligently to work out your own salvation’ or may be something else. People have their own era enveloped in life and my hobby was to sneak through them so that it may guide me decipher eternal codes.
The eruptions of further questions was obvious outcome. I cultivated a strong desire to discuss, if not question , Newton on the coffee table I wished to ask him was it apple’s success to fall towards earth or was it only a success of universal law, which is applicable to each apple without fail .Absurdity has its own charm I guess.
Again thoughts rolled back to graves .What would have been the last word.if earth is void, voice would have echoed cutting across many layers.
I noticed young boy who came monitoring his herd of cows to nearby meadow. He halted and rested on a huge flat rock. I approached him and asked if I could share his massive seat. He allowed me with a warm smile and conservation was bound to happen.
‘Do you know whose grave are these’, I enquired again to conform my knowledge.
The boy promptly replied ‘Oh these are five truths’
I again sank in discovering mood. What would they have uttered before being buried was it ‘save me’ or ‘forgive them’. Was it they claimed something or objected nothing. Darkness set as sun set. The boy silently stood up, took his stick and searched his pocket. He got few diyas (earthen lamps) and a small bottle of oil. He walked towards the tomb and lit those lamps. While bidding farewell his words were quite clear .They are still alive. At least wish them light.
