Sustainability Dialogue Series - AVPN

Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) is a concept familiar with most businesses and financers and its importance is expected to continue growing as Asian governments are setting up national plans, ambitions and regulations for a low-carbon future as part of the Paris Agreement and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

After the success of our launch session on the future of ESG investment practices in Asia, AVPN Climate Action Platform is excited to bring you yet another session of our Sustainability Dialogues series on 'Building sustainable agri-businesses in Asia through ESG-focused practices and solutions' on June 24th at 4pm SGT. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization predicts that growing affluence in Asia will place a strain on existing food systems.

Therefore, it is crucial for agri-businesses to incorporate ESG-focused measures into their operations. To transform the agri-business sector to meet long-term human and environmental needs, a wide array of stakeholders must be involved in the process. AVPN is convening experts from the agri-business sector to share their expertise on how a wide continuum of capital is being mobilized to meet these goals.
