"Photographs show life among the Gurung people and the techniques they use in gathering honey from cliffside hives. Eric Valli lived for many years in the Himalaya and has become one of this region's most well-known photographers. He contributes regularly to Geo and National Geographic and is the author of numerous publications, including Himalaya, Caravans of the Himalaya, and Hunters of Nepal. He has produced award-winning documentaries and his first feature-length film, Himalaya (1999), was an international success."
