Amid economic uncertainty and intensifying cross-border crises, the need for global finance to deliver on the SDGs is more important than ever. Only a miniscule amount of the overall capital held by private financial institutions flows into emerging markets and developing economies. Global banks, institutional investors, and asset managers hold over $400 trillion in assets under management - many multiple times the capital of global development banks combined.
What will it take to attract more private sector investment in developing countries? What are the opportunities for expanding the pipeline of investible projects in EMDEs? In this event, IFC and other leading global investors will offer lessons learned from successful partnerships and explore innovative ways to mobilize new private sector capital where it is needed most.
This event will be broadcast live from the Annual Meetings in Marrakech, with simultaneous interpretation available in Arabic, French and Spanish.
