We live in an abundant world, yet wealth is distributed in an unbalanced way for humanity. While one part of the world has too much, others do not have enough to live. This inequality is present in all industries, including in the outdoor sports industry.
So, how could outdoors people help to balance the scales and make the world a little fairer? Could they help the privileged part of society to get out of their bubble and look beyond?
These are the questions Rider for Refugees is trying to answer. Their goal is to bridge the gap between the exuberance of the outdoor sports industry and the refugees’ lack of resources. To reach this goal, they use ambassadors from the outdoors community to raise funds and resources.
Where are the resources, and how can they be shared? How are Riders for Refugees connecting with the sports community to make this possible?
Tune into our TALK with David Malacrida, the president of Riders for Refugees, and Marion Haerty, four times snowboard freeride world champion and ambassador for Rider for refugees, to learn how they are making this happen.
When: 19 October 2021, 4.00 - 5.00pm CEST
