What comes first, democracy or development? Is one indispensible to the other? It is hard to say as democracy’s dividends take long to bear fruits in the forms of tangible improvements in the lives of the citizens. Oftentimes democracy brings instability and chaos. Internet can be seen as the latest evolution within a technological continuum that allows having instant access to worldwide news, unlimited knowledge. Still we should not forget that it is just a means, a tool that can make our life simpler or more complicated; the net is really powerful but does it qualify as a human right?

Simply because parties cannot agree on the constitution, it does not mean that they cannot set a common understanding on how to boost the economy. The country does not need new vision on how to create and nourish a “bottom up” prosperity, ensuring that economic growth, also through special arrangements, can be really inclusive and not elude those down the social-economic ladder.

"The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document in the history of human rights. Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948 General Assembly resolution 217 A (III)  as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. It sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected. "
