Interested in hearing from fellow citizen researchers? Join us for this online forum, bringing together community members who have been involved in and led community-based, participatory and citizen science research projects.
Reflecting on the Institute for Community Studies’ recent paper sharing the experiences of UKRI’s Citizen Science Collaboration Grants projects, we are convening a discussion to explore community researchers’ views and experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to:
- hear from like-minded individuals who have also participated in citizen science or community research projects
- understand how your experiences are similar to, or differ between, different types of research project
- contribute to a discussion to shape the future of (participatory) research
Please note: Lots of different terminology is used to speak about the public and communities getting involved in research processes – whether you think of yourself as a citizen scientist, peer researcher, or community scientist, we want to hear from you! Alternative terminology includes: citizen researcher or evaluator, community researcher or evaluator, peer evaluator, youth researcher, youth scientist or evaluator, user researcher or evaluator, patient researcher or evaluator, co-researcher or evaluator.
