Regarding breast cancer in Nepal, it is the leading cause of cancer death in Nepal. It is the second commonest cancer [7.2%] according to cancer registry of 2009. Incidence is 34% in the age group 41-50 years. 54 % present in premenaupausal females. Breast cancer is increasing in younger population. The problem is lack of effective awareness and screening  program.

 

Vision:  

 

People in Nepal with breast and thyroid diseases should receive quality health care services  within their communities.

 

Mission:

To increase awareness and diagnose breast and thyroid diseases  early and to provide best treatment options

 

Goal:

       To provide the best treatment options  to the patients having the disease of Breast and Thyroid disorders.

 

Objectives:

1.     To increase public awareness in the form of brochures, magazines, books and seminars, etc.

2.     To provide best facilities for diagnosis and treatment regarding Breast and Thyroid disease at selected centers.

3.     To help diagnosed Breast and Thyroid cancer patients with rehabilitation.

4.     To co-ordinate with national and international organizations to increase the skill, co-operation and research in the related field.

5.     To organize training programs for the health care professional.

 

FREE  and  subsidized ultrasound and breastcare is provided to members .
