The twenty-fourth meeting of the Executive Committee (ExCom 24) of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) under the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC) takes place from 28 April to 1 May 2026 in Bonn, Germany. The provisional annotated agenda for ExCom 24 covers a range of key issues to be discussed over the four days of the meeting. These include:

• Preparation of voluntary guidelines for enhancing collection and management of data and information to inform the preparation of biennial transparency reports (BTRs);
• How the latest climate science can inform policy-making relevant to averting, minimising, and addressing loss and damage;
• Work related to the ExCom’s Expert Groups;
• Cross-cutting activities of the second five-year rolling workplan; and
• Collaboration with the Advisory Board of the Santiago Network and the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD).

The following key messages respond to selected agenda items and aim to inform discussions at ExCom 24. They are not exhaustive or presented in the order of the agenda. They will continue to be updated, as needed, to align with developments in the agenda items being discussed.
