Prince Harry announced on 12 November 2016, that the 2018 Invictus Games have been awarded to Sydney, Australia. The fourth Invictus Games, will be held 18-29 October 2018, with over 500 competitors taking part from 17 nations. Sydney follows fellow host cities London 2014 and Orlando 2016, with Toronto in 23-30 September 2017.

The Global Corporate Volunteering Awards, created by IAVE in 2012, are the only global awards to formally celebrate excellence in corporate volunteering.

On May 19th, IAVE hosted the Corporate Response to the Refugee Challenge Forum in Berlin, Germany. The purpose of the Forum was to understand the refugee crisis in Europe, learn how the private sector is currently responding through their employee volunteer programs, and discuss what companies could do individually or collaboratively to respond to the situation.

Ford Motors, the global car manufacturer, is investing resources in a global volunteering program "Ford Global Caring Month" that was also realized in September by GO Ford, the local authorized dealer.
