Can volunteerism and service provide relief to the current crisis of identity experienced by youths embracing radicalism and extremism? Religion, politics and even sports offer disenfranchised youths a way out of their frustrations and sense of alienation. The problem is that these platforms highlight and boast behaviors and thinking that go against our liberal and social democratic values.
