The UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), in collaboration with the UNU Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources (UNU-FLORES) and the Global Environment Outreach Centre (GEOC), will organize a webinar in observance of World Water Day (WWD) 2021 on Monday, 22 March 2021 from 21:00 – 22:45 JST.

The pandemic has exacerbated existing inequalities between women and men in almost all areas of life, both in Europe and beyond, rolling back on the hard-won achievements of past years

On March 8, Secretary of State Antony Blinken will honor a group of extraordinary women with the 2021 Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage (IWOC) Award. This award honors women who have demonstrated exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in acting to improve the lives of others, from families to communities to countries.

Next week, from 10 to 12 March, the Asia-Pacific region will review the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration adopted by UN Member States in 2018 – a framework and a call for action for international and regional coordination and cooperation on international migration.
