The theme for the 2nd World Congress is “CBR: Empowering and Enabling”. The focus is to provide a setting for diverse communities of practice, policy, education, research and social development to engage in a dialogue to promote the well-being of persons with disability around the world.

The Fraser Institute, a world leading think tank based in Canada, recently published the new ranking of countries based on their economic freedom. "Economic freedom leads to prosperity and a higher quality of life" according to Fred McMahon, one of the author. Hong Kong is again the no.1 country in terms of economic freedom followed by Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland, Canada and Georgia.

Martin Punaks, the Country Director of Next Generation Nepal, assesses social activists' efforts in Nepal to end child trafficking to orphanages by campaigning to stop orphanage voluntourism. He goes on to suggest a way forward to finally end orphanage trafficking in Nepal.
