Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) is an international annual campaign led by the Global Campaign for Education with support from UNESCO to raise awareness of the importance of education for achieving sustainability and the commitments made by all to reach the global education goal by 2030. This year’s theme of ‘Accountability for SDG 4 and Citizen Participation.

Impact Rankings 2022: results announced

The Australian university leads the overall THE Impact Rankings 2022, the world’s only ranking measuring universities’ contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. In second place is Arizona State University (Tempe) in the US, followed by Canada’s Western University.

“Build forward fairer” – UN report calls for region to adopt a new social contract which puts inclusive recovery at its heart

Amid continuing uncertainty over the trajectory of the COVID-19 pandemic and increased global risks, the region’s economic recovery and progress must be anchored in “a new social contract” of inclusiveness to protect the vulnerable from future shocks, according to the Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific for 2022, released today by UN-ESCAP.
