EU Taxonomy: Commission presents Complementary Climate Delegated Act to accelerate decarbonisation

The European Commission has today presented a Taxonomy Complementary Climate Delegated Act on climate change mitigation and adaptation covering certain gas and nuclear activities. The College of Commissioners reached a political agreement on the text, which will be formally adopted once translations are available in all EU languages.

Rio Tinto independent review identifies culture of sexual harrassment and assault, racism, and bullying

Rio Tinto published an 85-page report released by On 1 February 2022 that pointed to a culture of sexual assault and harrasment, and extensive bullying of staff. Rio Tinto has accepted the 26 recommendations the report has made.

World Interfaith Harmony Week is an annual event observed during the first week of February, after General Assembly designation in 2010. The General Assembly pointed out that mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue constitute important dimensions of a culture of peace and established World Interfaith Harmony Week as a way to promote harmony between all people regardless of their faith.
