Happiness and Laxmi

It can happen you have a bad day or you are going through a difficult life stage. I have been through a couple of tough days , absolutely nothing to worry about but of course life is not always that easy but  I feel we have no other options than always looking at it with the right approach and the right attitude and move forward with a smile. This has been a bit my life philosophy. Happiness is always relative but we should always go after it. It has been working wonders. Believe me.

Happiness must be always pursued whatsoever. You get a fight with your husband, you get a quarrel at work, you have issues with your boyfriend or best friend but I think we should always take a breath and think at the issues in the long term and very importantly we should think that it could be worse, much worse. Keeping the smile on your face can also be of great help

Maybe there is someone enjoying full happiness, everything is absolutely perfect. I am not in that category but rather I am always looking at the “half” full glass. I do out of necessity and with strong belief that no matters what life is beautiful and too precious. What I might feel as a challenge, it is something experienced by everybody. It is life after all.

I try to appreciate every single moment and I love what I am doing, I truly love it and I do consider myself the luckiest person on earth. Still it can happen sometimes things do not work out as you wish and challenges come and you need to figure out a way out of that situation.

Today I had some stuff in my head and I have to come to office for an important meeting to discuss how ENGAGE will implement its Personalized Development Pathway, our approach to help our players to set their goals and priorities. It was a very important meeting. We had a first meeting with our ENGAGE Talent Coaches, our new amazing volunteers who will help us implementing the approach.

It happens that one of them, Laxmi had to leave early. She is visually impaired and she needed someone as a guide till the bus stop. With my super colleague Kusum taking the lead in the meeting , I was more than happy to walk with  Laxmi.

I know Laxmi since few years and she is an amazing young woman, so positive, so genuine, so driven and always smiling.

Laxmi is so good that she spent one year studying political science in the USA thanks to a scholarship granted by the American government. Yes Laxmi got awarded with a Fulbright scholarship, so amazing…

It has been a short walk, 15 minutes only but I truly enjoyed talking with Laxmi. She is really amazing, so positive, so energetic. I truly get inspired by people like Laxmi. She helps reminding me that life is full of ups and down, small and big problems, problems are inevitable but we always need to handle them no matter what. She is determined to reach office on her own next time she comes. That’s her determination and will power.

Today is also a wonderful day. I do realize that my worries are not so big, that what might look a bit as scary and devastating might instead look differently.

I also get inspiration from many good friends around me. Friendship is so precious and so rare. I feel like that without friendship, there is no love. Friendship is at the foundation of the everything.

I also have a very good friend going through a bit rough time but he is dealing with it in a brilliant way and he doing his best to get out of a difficult uncertainties. I salute his approach and attitudes, I am really proud of him.

No matter what, I am looking around me and I find myself lucky, the luckiest person in the world and I should not forget to smile at life and to say thanks to my loved ones.
