The Global Climate Risk Index shows how badly countries are affected by extreme weather such as floods, storms, heat waves, etc. The most recent available data for 2019 and from 2000 to 2019 were taken into account. Mozambique, Zimbabwe and the Bahamas were hardest hit by extreme weather events in 2019. Between 2000 and 2019, Puerto Rico, Myanmar and Haiti were the hardest hit countries.
