The EU Commission published its 2021 report on gender equality in the EU, that shows the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women. The pandemic has exacerbated existing inequalities between women and men in almost all areas of life, both in Europe and beyond, rolling back on the hard-won achievements of past years

On March 8, Secretary of State Antony Blinken will honor a group of extraordinary women with the 2021 Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage (IWOC) Award. This award honors women who have demonstrated exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in acting to improve the lives of others, from families to communities to countries.

Next week, from 10 to 12 March, the Asia-Pacific region will review the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration adopted by UN Member States in 2018 – a framework and a call for action for international and regional coordination and cooperation on international migration.
