This week, more than 350 people from 40+ countries joined the virtual dialogue “Addressing Power Imbalance in Global Supply Chains”, which explored how benchmarking can be used as a lever to address power imbalances in global supply chains, as well as how benchmarks can be used to influence corporate decision making and facilitate access to remedy.

Over 200 people were nominated for the first-ever World Down Syndrome Awards. The awards committee, which included people with Down syndrome and their family members from around the world, was very impressed with all the nominees. They enjoyed learning about all the work that is being done to make the lives of people with Down syndrome better.

RSF: Israel is eradicating journalism in Gaza, with ten reporters killed in three days, 48 since start of war

Journalism is in the process of being eradicated in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israel’s refusal to heed calls to protect media personnel, says Reporters Without Borders (RSF). The situation is dire for Palestinian journalists trapped in the enclave, where ten have been killed in the past three days, bringing the total media death toll in Gaza since the start of the war to 48.
