NGOs urge Australia to back $1 trillion climate finance goal

At least US$1 trillion is needed to support low-income countries bearing the brunt of the climate crisis, according to a new report — Seizing the Moment: A New Climate Finance Goal That Delivers for the Pacific. The report’s release by a coalition of NGOs coincides with the attendance of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the annual Pacific Islands Forum.
