Global Calls for Climate Justice

Since our online seminar last year a lot has happened and Vanuatu’s efforts for an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on climate change and human rights continue. In this seminar we will speak to experts about the opportunities and challenges of this approach, discuss why small island states are increasingly taking their causes to international courts and tribunals, and how developments such as the recent recognition of the right to a healthy environment by the United Nations General Assembly affect these efforts.

With:

  • Representative from the youth movements support the campaign  (tba)
  • Representative from Vanuatu’s campaign  (tba)
  • Further expert on international law  (tba)
