  1. Warming beyond 1.5°C will substantially increase the risk of global species extinctions.
  2. The ocean is already warmer, more acidic and less productive.
  3. Around 7 million people die every year from exposure to polluted air.
  4. Nature-based solutions could provide one third of net reductions in greenhouse gas emissions required to meet Paris Agreement goals.
  5. Bold climate action could deliver $26 trillion in economic benefits by 2030.
  6. Renewable energy is getting cheaper all the time.
  7. Switching to a clean economy could produce over 65 million new low-carbon jobs.
  8. An investment of $1.8 trillion from 2020 to 2030 in adaptation could generate $7.1 trillion in total net benefits.
