The event highlights key considerations for governments that are planning for, implementing, and scaling up the graduation approach. It will share new evidence from a randomized evaluation of a graduation program led by the Government of the Philippines and discuss lessons and insights on economic inclusion and support for poor and vulnerable households with technical experts focused on program adaptation and scale.
Objectives
The objective of the online event is to introduce the graduation approach as a key strategy for economic inclusion and social protection and highlight experiences, lessons, and considerations of governments in different stages of adopting the graduation approach.
It will share new evidence from a randomized evaluation of a graduation program led by the Department of Labor and Employment of the Government of the Philippines and discuss lessons and insights on economic inclusion and support for poor and vulnerable households with technical experts focused on program adaptation and scale.
Sessions will facilitate discussions with government representatives to equip them with the knowledge and tools to use evidence from graduation programs to inform poverty alleviation policies in their own context. The event will also highlight how civil society brings innovation to development.
