Rio Tinto published an 85-page report released by On 1 February 2022 that pointed to a culture of sexual assault and harrasment, and extensive bullying of staff. Rio Tinto has accepted the 26 recommendations the report has made. Labour unions say their weak hold on Rio Tinto’s Australian workforce contributed to the “systemic” problems revealed in this week’s bombshell report into the multinational miner’s culture. The review, headed by former Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick (EB & Co), was tasked with reviewing company culture.
