Join us in Brussels on October 16-18 for this year’s PILnet Global Forum! We are excited to exchange and enrich our collective knowledge with our networks this year. We look forward to learning different best practices from our partners on how law can support civil society and will create room for new ideas which can lead to new innovation and formation of partnerships. This year, we are also looking forward to providing a platform for our partners to continue networking and strengthening relationships.

The PILnet Global Forum features presentations, interactive workshops, social events, and structured networking opportunities for attendees to learn from one another and to form collaborations to help make our societies stronger and more resilient.

This year hundreds of lawyers and advocates will convene for engaging workshops, inspiring presentations, and in-depth panel discussions on topics such as pro bono in times of crisis, access to justice for refugees, climate justice, reproductive rights, and racial justice and much more! Join us to explore ideas, share best practices, and forge lasting partnerships.

PILnet’s Global Awards celebrate and honor the extraordinary efforts made by you to strengthen civil society, advance social change, and protect the public interest through two awards, the PILnet Global Partnership Award and the PILnet Local Impact Award.

We are accepting video submissions of three minutes or less until September 15.

About

PILnet is a global non-governmental organization that creates opportunities for social change by unlocking law’s full potential. With programs in Europe & Eurasia, Asia, and at the global level, PILnet aims to reclaim and reimagine the role of law so that it works for the benefit of all.

PILnet builds networks and collaborations of public interest and private lawyers who understand how law works when it serves the interests of the privileged and then it uses that knowledge to strengthen civil society and the communities they serve. PILnet not only obtains high-quality, free legal assistance for civil society organizations when they urgently need it but also helps organizations to capitalize on the full range of specialized legal expertise that can be provided by corporate lawyers, including against ongoing, or even yet-to-be-determined, challenges.

PILnet’s approach employs the strategic use of law to produce stronger, more resilient societies capable of responding to these dramatic developments. It does so by building strategic partnerships between private sector lawyers and civil society to activate the resources and expertise of the hundreds of corporate lawyers in its global network for a wide range of public interest problems.

PILnet’s strategy allows civil society organizations to not only obtain high-quality, free legal assistance when it is urgently needed but also to become aware of the full range of specialized legal assistance they can receive from corporate lawyers, including against ongoing, and even yet to be determined, threats.
