Chicago, IL (March 15, 2022) – Diébédo Francis Kéré, architect, educator and social activist, has been selected as the 2022 Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, announced Tom Pritzker, Chairman of The Hyatt Foundation, which sponsors the award that is regarded internationally as architecture’s highest honor.

International IDEA views the Summit for Democracy as a strategic opportunity to place democracy at the front and center of the global agenda. The war in Ukraine underscores even more the need for democracies to stand united in the face of authoritarian threats. International IDEA has therefore developed a strategic engagement programme around the Summits for Democracy in 2021 and 2022.

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is being held in a hybrid format March 13-25. Experts at Oxfam and partner organizations will be leading CSW parallel events tackling challenges to women’s rights and equity related to the climate crisis and economic opportunities.

This March, as a part of the NGO CSW66 Forum by the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), we will be hosting a solutions-focused event that convenes women across Asia who have spearheaded climate action from surprising places. This event aims to give the rest of us space to reflect on how we can step up.
