We will explore the role of, and the relationship between, the nonprofit and corporate sectors in responding to disasters and crisis, with particular emphasis on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and current humanitarian crises such as the war in Ukraine.

 We will reflect on the engagement between the two sectors in planning and delivering an effective disaster response. The session will outline the corporate and NGO leadership, the role of corporate and NGO partnership, how volunteers are recruited and deployed and the role for  local community involvement. The webinar will also seek to focus on lessons learned and how the pandemic experience will influence volunteer involvement in the future. Featuring speakers from the UPS Foundation, Polish Humanitarian Action, Tata Sustainability Group and Impact 17.
