About - Joining forces: growing impact in Africa & beyond (cvent.com)

This year, Finance in Common will host its 3rd Summit, which will be held in-person for the first time on 19th and 20th of October 2022, organised jointly by the African Development Bank and the European Investment Bank.

The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) together with FAIR (French NAB) are organising an in-person side event to the Finance in Common Summit in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on 18th October, entitled 'Joining forces: growing impact in Africa & beyond'.

This side event will be attended by Public Development Banks (PDBs), DFIs, MDBs and donors alongside other key stakeholders including governments, central banks and private sector, among others.

At this free-to-attend event (which will be held in both French & English), we will explore collaborations between public institutions such as development banks, together with private sector actors such as impact investors and impact entrepreneurs, to ensure that more capital can flow towards the achievement of SDGs.

You will hear from inspiring global leaders and experts on how public and private sector can leverage each other to mobilise private capital for public good while addressing the barriers facing inclusive growth. You will also learn from success cases and examples across sectors.

We are delighted to invite you to join us in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire for 'Joining forces: growing impact in Africa & beyond'. This in-person event will take place on 18 October and we are pleased to announce some key global speakers who will be participating below:

They will be exploring collaborations between public institutions (such as development banks), together with private sector actors (such as impact investors and impact entrepreneurs), to ensure that more capital can flow towards the achievement of the SDGs, and sharing their vision for the future together with innovative solutions that can be replicated across countries.
