"Ms Gabriela Ramos, UNESCO's Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences, was one of the three speakers of the panel "From Children to Citizens: the place of sport in education" that was held on 3 February from 10.00am to 10.45am CET.

The panel, moderated by Ms Anne Laure Bonnet, Sport journalist and presenter, focused on how the power of sport should be maximized to build children's awareness and understanding of key issues in society for today and tomorrow. Ms Ramos intervention highlighted the importance of sport-education and the specific interventions that UNESCO has been developing in this context, including the Quality Physical Education Policy project and the Organization’s new sport education COVID recovery flagship “Fit for Life”.

Mr Didier Drogba, Vice-President of Peace and sport, and Ms Marie Barsacq, Impact & Legacy Executive Director of Paris 2024 will be the other two speakers of this panel."
