The virtual Ideathon is a three-day marathon, during which volunteer teams from major NGOs and volunteering organizations from around the world come together to develop sustainable and impactful solutions to challenges from some of the key themes of the global response to the COVID19 pandemic.

The ETC’s blueprint is intended to allow all developed economies to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 at the latest, including China which has the resources and technology leadership to become a rich developed zero-carbon economy by 2050. All developing nations would be able to reach net-zero emissions by 2060 at the latest but require development finance to de-risk and attract private green invest

The countries forming the Amsterdam Declarations Partnership, i.e. Germany (current chair), Denmark, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway and United Kingdom, and Belgium sent an open letter to the Brazilian Vice-President Mourão. The Amsterdam Declarations Partnership is specifically committed to achieving sustainable and deforestation-free agricultural commodity supply chains to our countries.
