The OECD 2020 report estimates there is a $2.5 trillion annual gap in the funds needed to deliver the SDGs by 2030. This funding gap has been further exacerbated by the pandemic.

Investments into the impact space have grown rapidly with increasing focus from mainstream players across key global issues including climate change, economic inequality, gender disparity and poverty. The scale of on-the-ground investors vis-à-vis larger investors is highly skewed towards the latter, resulting in a knowledge and understanding gap of local markets and culture.

Helping to effectively match the needs of founders building life-changing solutions for low-income consumers with early stage capital is a key mobilizer to closing the $2.5 trillion funding gap. For early stage businesses, equity is not the only solution; a growing number of instruments can also be utilized for optimizing financing, including hybrid debt structures and guarantees.

In partnership with AVPN, Insitor is pleased to host a virtual webinar and outline how their work backing founders building life-changing solutions has positively impacted 40 million low-income consumers across developing Asia, including sharing experiences on how they have mobilized innovative funding solutions to meet the crucial early funding needs of their founders. The event will host a series of speakers and "fireside chat" bringing diverse perspectives from Insitor management team, private investors and founders.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn about how private investment capital can be mobilized to address the $2.5 trillion funding gap and fill a critical early stage funding gap for companies
  • Hear diverse perspectives from investors and operators on how they think about maximizing collective impact
  • Understand the different types of innovative funding solutions and hear Insitor's  first hand experience in mobilizing solutions for their portfolio companies
