In celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we are thrilled to release our 2020 Global Disability Rights and Sport Project, a year-long research and innovation initiative designed to promote the rights of people with disabilities worldwide through sport and physical activity.

Here are five [FREE] resources we have created in 2020 with hopes of adding value to the great work you and your teams are already doing:
  1. DIY Adapted Sports Equipment Video Series – an 8-part tutorial that teaches anyone how to build adaptive sports equipment on a very tight and limited budget.
  2. World’s only interactive global map on disability rights policies and laws, coupled with statistics on the Paralympics, Special Olympics, and Deaflympics, as well as stories about our alumni working to promote inclusion and equity for persons with disabilities in more than 60 countries.
  3. Advocacy Toolkit that includes the history of the ADA, Sport for Development, and some of our secret sauce for social change – portions of our Better World curriculum and Action Plan guide.
  4. Article published in The Conversation that brings our research to life for practitioners, parents, athletes, and anyone else hoping to learn more about the research but prefer reading it in a user-friendly format.
  5. Center for Sport, Peace, & Society Annual Report for those of you who would like to learn more about our work and how we’re using sport, education, and social entrepreneurship to create a more inclusive, equitable, and peaceful world.

We wish you the very best during the holiday season!  Please feel free to share these [FREE] resources with your own networks of sporty change-makers and never hesitate to reach out if we can answer any questions or support you in other ways!  Social change is a team sport, and we are all on the same team!

High-Fives,

Team CSPS

P.S. If you want to be one of the first ones to know when we release new research or share more amazing stories of impact, subscribe to our newsletter, and we'll make sure you're on the Team!
