I had the pleasure to meet Urvashi at AVPN Conference that was recently held in Singapore. As Director of TrustLaw program, Urvashi is leading the efforts of Thomson Reuters Foundation in expanding all over the region TrustLaw, an innovative Pro Bono program that connects NGOs of the region with leading law firms. By offering free of cost, voluntary service, law firms can offer essential and key services to the not for profit sector. A link is therefore created between NGOs and law firms. Pro Bono is an effective form of corporate volunteering and therefore an interesting model of CSR.

Urvashi and her team was recently in Nepal to discuss with local stakeholders way to expand the program in the country.

Urvashi has over 10 years of work experience in the US, UK and India, including over 4 years at the Climate Group, which she helped set up in India. Urvashi has a degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
